President and Board Member, Embassy National Bank
During a banking career of almost 40 years, Joe Moss has given wings to the dreams of thousands of small business owners.
Currently, he serves as president and board member of Embassy National Bank, a community bank based in the Atlanta suburb of Lawrenceville that has almost $100 million in assets and is a leading lender to small businesses in the southeastern United States.
Most recently, he was president and COO of Appalachian Bancshares in Ellijay, Georgia, which had $850 million in assets. He has also been the senior lender at Security Exchange Bank, Marietta, Georgia, where he was responsible for the debt restructuring effort on behalf of many small businesses.
Joe has also served as president and CEO of Tomorrow’s Bank, which was in organization to serve the Korean and Vietnamese communities in Gwinnett and Dekalb Counties.
Over the years, he has been a senior executive with two leading financial consulting firms — KPMG Peat Marwick and Ceto and Associates. He has also assisted many small businesses with capital formation, planning, restructuring, and operational best practices.
